This is our story in starting our very own family through international adoption. We will be adopting an infant (or two) from Kazakhstan. Hopefuly we will be traveling this spring to meet and bring home our little one(s). We hope that by reading our story you are able to follow our journey and learn about the process of adoption.
I got an e-mail from our agency today stating that our dossier has made it through New Your City and is on its way to Kazakhstan! This is very exciting news. If all goes like those before us it has been taking 6-8 weeks for our paperwork to make it through the Kazakh government. Then we will get our Letter of Invatation and leave shortly there after. This is going to be a long eight or so weeks but ones to cherish as well.

I was a naturalist leading science field schools. I was a paleontologist, then an education specialist for the National Park Service. Then, for a decade I was a sciene teacher. Now, I am on to a new transition. Each of my past chapters in life have been forced due to having rheumatoid arthritst, which is a degenerative autoimune disorder. I am not sure what my next chaper in life holds.
