Must stop napping

Hello loyal fans and readers,

Today was our first full day in Uralsk and we are commng out of the gates rather slowly. We woke up very early this morning and headed down to breakfast at the hotel. It was very good and we have decided that we will be eating some big meals in the morning while we are here. After breakfast we went up to the room and became fixated on the puzzle we brought and talked a lot about our little one. We are both very sad that we cannot visit him this weekend but soon enough it will be Monday..

We did make ourselves go out and explore for a few hours this morning. It was very interesting to walk around and I do wish that I had learned how to read Russian. The shops here don't have things in the windows and many times they don't have any windows so we just had to be brave and curious and peek in. We found lots of cool things and neat little shops. The people were very friendly and patient as I spoke the best Russian that I could muster up. At one point John just started drawing pictures to try and communicate.

It is very wonderful to be in a place without much tourism as it forces us to step out of our comfort zone. We are going to also try to find the Peace Corps Volunteers so that we can do some volunteer work when we are here.

We are still struggling with the jet lag, yet the idea of givving up our mid day naps are hard. I am sure by the time we leave we will be fully adjusting. Thank you all for your comments. We enjoy hearing from you all.

You two are such adventurers. You are doing a good job of keeping your hearts and bodies fully occupied. How soon do we get to see a picture of the little guy? I went on a Baby House information site and they were all so adorable. We are anxious to see what the little darling is all about. Does he have a name you will keep or will you incorporate it into a name you choose yourself? Our best wishes for a wonderful journey in the weeks ahead.
Love,
Jim and Beth

Greeting from Dayville!!

John and Karon,

SOOO wonderful to hear your news!! Congratulations on your new baby boy!! We can't wait to see a picture and to meet him.

Sorry about the delay but you'll have lots of time to bond before heading home.

Kendall says he's holding down the fort here at home. :~)

Enjoy your time spent exploring and getting to know your little boy.

Love to you all,

Amy and Kendall

Congrads Let us know his size. Does this mean that there is no chance of a second child? I will keep checking and will pass the news on to the 7th grade kids. some have been wondering about you.
Enjoy your time. Weather is still cold and wet here. Take care of yourselves.

Congratulations!!! What an EASY delivery!!! Now, having been away from the computer a few days I missed the birth announcement! But, does this ONE, mean that they have decided not to allow you to adopt 2? Perhaps a silly question in view of the IMPORTANT news on the birth of your son! But curiosity still surfaces! And Bethie is correct, we need measurements!!! And oh my, will they let you take a post a picture? Or does all that have to wait until court! Blessings as you become "russian folks" for the next while!!!

Karon & John,

Carol just turned me onto your blog. How wonderful that you knew in your heart right away that he was your child. God is so good! Aunt Judy can't wait to meet him. Can you take pictures or is that not allowed. The extra time will fly & should make everything easier because you will have more time to bond with him before the stress of departing what is familiar to him. Your are going to be such wonderful parents & he is such a lcuky boy. Our prayers are with you that the entire process will be smooth & easy & you'll be on your way home before you know it. In the meantime, enjoy.

Love Ya,

Aunt Judy & Uncle Ken Kinder
